We are Dan and Robert, two partners who grew up with a shared obsession: building things that last. In the 90s, that meant K’nex, complex LEGO sets, and spending our weekends in the woods or the backyard building treehouses and sheds. For us, that itch to create with our hands never went away—it just got more precise.
The Blue Print Box was born from a simple but ambitious vision. We wanted to move beyond “models” and “toys.” We wanted to give people the experience of framing a real American ranch house, scaled down to perfection, using the exact same methods and materials as the pros.
When you open one of our boxes, you aren’t just putting pieces together—you are following a true-to-life construction sequence. From the foundation to the final stud, we provide a 1:16 scale building experience that honors the craft of carpentry.

How We Develop a Kit
Every Blue Print Box is engineered the same way a master builder approaches a job site: with patience, precision, and zero compromise.
1. The Architects
We don’t do guesswork. We start with authentic architectural drawings and scale them down to a true 1:16 model. While we adapt certain details so they can be built at this scale, the integrity of the plans remains. Each project takes hundreds of hours to perfect, ensuring you get a build that is as rewarding as the real thing.
2. Prototyping
Our team cuts, assembles, and rebuilds every design until the kit feels right. We ensure every joint is tight and every measurement is accurate so that your miniature build is as durable as it is realistic.
3. Materials that matter
A real build requires real materials. We don’t use plastic or imitation wood. Every box is packed with real pine studs, sturdy bases, and professional-grade tools like precision angle cutters and glue guns. Sourcing the finest materials is our top priority.
4. Tested by builders
Before a kit is ever released, it is built and rebuilt by hand. We make sure the workflow makes sense, from the first floor plate to the last roof rafter. If it isn’t “pro-grade,” it doesn’t get the Blue Print seal of approval.
